When a water line breaks at Temple Beth Am, the congregation finds themselves without a place to celebrate Hanukkah. Fortunately, St. Joseph’s Episcopal Church opens its doors, bringing together two communities for a unique holiday celebration. With the last night of Hanukkah and Christmas Eve coinciding, the church’s youth choir director and the temple’s substitute choir director—longtime high school rivals—must put aside their differences to create a joint service.
